Video: Prank Girl Scares People on Elevator

An interesting video - that is quite funny. But also a great post examining if this is a good idea for a TV Show.

As David DiSalvo asks in his article on Forbes' "It’s hard not to laugh at the terror-stricken faces of the people in the video below who were pranked by a Brazilian TV show. At the same time, looking at this from a social research perspective, I can’t help but think of how many things could have gone wrong." Check out DiSalvo's full article here.

Student Nominated: Key and Peele Never Mess with a Substitute

Key & Peele's "Never mess with a substitute" video was submitted by a student.

In reality student behavior during substitutes, in my humble opinion, are really a reflection on the quality of substitute. This video goes to the extreme.

Video: NFLFP12 SHOW08 Tecmo Bowl - All Tecmo Bowl fan must watch

A friends find. I love Tecmo Bowl - while I preferred the original compared to Super Tecmo Bowl but both are great. I consider myself really pretty good at this old school game - and my record during college and after supports that declaration.

I want to create my own mini tournament - I have two systems and the games ready to go.

This video is a must watch video for All Tecmo Bowl gamers

Educator Resources - A must have

For any educator it is almost overwhelming the number of resources that are currently available. I know personally I follow several blogs and I feel that I am always behind the latest and best teachers out there. I try to take my time in my evaluation of what I read and come across but there are times I feel simply slow to react - one of the items I had been meaning to examine was the post:
What's in the Super Book of Web Tools for Educators? from Free Technology for Teachers by noreply@blogger.com (Mr. Byrne)
  • Introduction:                            pages 2-3    George Couros
  • An Administrator's View:       pages 4-7     Patrick Larkin
  • Elementary School:                 pages 8-25   Kelly Tenkely
  • Middle School:                       pages 26-35  Adam Bellow
  • High School:                           pages 36-42  Richard Byrne
  • ESL/ELL:                               pages 43-46  Larry Ferlazzo
  • Teaching Online:                    pages 47-50  Cory Plough
  • Connect Via Skype:                pages 51-61  Silvia Rosenthal Tolisano
  • Elementary School Blogging: pages 62-65  Lee Kolbert
  • Alternative Ed Tech:               pages 66-68  Beth Still
  • Social Media for Educators:    pages 69-71  Steven Anderson
I believe that this post and the link to The Super Book - is essential for anyone in education - as you can see from the overview it provides excellent resources for nearly all subjects and students within a school. I feel odd stating this so late in the game but I wanted to go through the entire book before I linked it to my blog - simply stated this is an essential resource for any educator. Please email Mr. Byrne's link for the Super Book to any colleague or friend in education and enjoy his group's work and dedication. Stating that I highly recommend this would be an understatement. Simply enjoy

Ignite Show Review

·      Igniteshow = http://igniteshow.com/

"Ignite is a geek event in over 100 cities worldwide. At the events Ignite presenters share their personal and professional passions, using 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds for a total of just five minutes."
My take: Great videos like TED Videos - except these are 5 minutes instead of 15 minutes. They are not as in depth but they are great for a quick overview of a topic.

Knoword Review

·      Knoword = http://www.knoword.org/index.php
"Knoword is a game of quick thinking, smart decisions and great words. When you begin, you will be given one randomly generated dictionary definition along with the first letter of its corresponding word. You must fill in the rest of the word to experience a gain in points and an added time bonus. You will start off with one minute before the game ends, and every word is an opportunity to extend your time. If you're ever stuck on a word, just hit the skip button and a new puzzle will present itself.

If you're able to string together correct answers, you will notice your Word streak counter increasing. You can accumulate badges and additional points by achieving certain amounts of consecutively correct words... How far can you get?"

My take: I absolutely love this game. It is a great way to make your mind think - I am addicted to Words with Friends and if this game had an iPhone app this would be a close second. Anyone who enjoys words will love this game. Please give it a try.

Michael Jordan Response to Lebron

I love Michael Jordan - I love that he would and still does - just destroy anyone and everyone in his path. To be the greatest you must be ready to upset nearly everyone around you. You must be obsessive and compulsive.

Gylne Tider

Hilarious and remarkable the actors/celebrities in these two videos
