Educational Resource: Fluency Timer Now Available for iPad/iPod/iPhone
Primarily for primary school - fluency tests and assessments are integrated into the data collection more and more into schools. The article "Fluency Timer Now Available for iPad/iPod/iPhone" examines this app that "provides an adjustable timer with integrated voice recording to allow teachers, parents, and students to easily record student fluency readings. It’s designed simply so that even primary age students can use the app to record themselves reading." The app is available for free here. The pro version eliminates advertisements and enables the recordings to be transferred to the desktop. Both allow you to individually email recordings. For educators asked to measure fluency an app to investigate.
