Review "Newswordy"

Newswordy = http://newswordy.com/
"Buzzwords are frequently used in news media. These are words that do not typically occur in everyday speech, but are common among newscasters, talking heads, and pundits on cable news...Newswordy is a growing collection of these words, updated every weekday. Along with each word is a definition, a quote with its use (or misuse) in the media, and a news and Twitter feed on the subject."
My take: An amazing site that helps build a students vocabulary. My colleagues and I are attempting to place a greater emphasis on vocabulary with our middle school students and this website provides a perfect bridge between vocabulary and current events. Every Friday my students participate in Current Event Friday where they examine, research, and work to understand the latest news. This site will become a central component to this weekly lesson. I highly recommend educators to check out this site.
