Could this happen to me? Understanding that there is always an audience for your work is one of the first messages we want our students to learn when we discuss online work - we try to hammer home the point that students must remember that the internet has a permanent record of what has happened - I love to blog and to share my thoughts but I often filter messages just in case my audience changes. This story asks us to identify the line between appropriate and inappropriate - between keeping your job or being fired.
