Educational Article; Does Our Current Education System Support Innovation?

I think too often people believe that simply purchasing technology will solve or improve a classroom - this year my classroom will have 1:1 iPads but it is a tool that enables my students to thrive and go further than ever before. The article "Does Our Current Education System Support Innovation?" examines many of the inherent obstacles facing technology integration with our current system. Innovation is still possible but it is essential for educators to remember the technology in the classroom should help achieve the goal of classrooms; in my humble opinion, that goal is to help students read, write, and think critically and independently.
