Last year I was lucky enough to have a student who was originally from England - and in class one of her classmates asked her to explain the difference between England, Great Britain, and the United Kingdom. Her answer was succinct, clear, and easy for her classmates to understand.
For those not in my class that day this video five minute video from CGP Grey explains what each name refers to and the differences between the three. CGP Grey's dry sly humor is awesome in my humble opinion.
