"Developing Students' Academic Vocabulary Helps Beat Achievement Gap"
Developing student vocabulary is one of my primary focuses as a social studies teacher. I believe that my job is to help students develop the critical thinking and comprehension skills to survive as a citizen in the United States. This article examines supports my belief that vocabulary development can aid in helping students achieve more.
