An interesting discussion page examining different perspectives relating to teacher critique. As an educator it is interesting the dichotomy between wanted to improve education but cut educational funding. If you want better teachers you either need to pay teachers more or fundamentally change the materialistic culture of the United States that pushes people to make money. You cannot expect to lure the best and the brightest into the teaching field if you continually cut their salary and the pay is not on the same level of other highly educated professionals.
